Der Weltflüchtlingstag am 20. Juni ist ein Tag, an dem die Stärke und der Mut derjenigen gewürdigt werden, die gezwungen waren, aus ihrem Heimatland zu fliehen, um Konflikten oder Verfolgung zu entkommen. In diesem Jahr 2023 wird mit dem Slogan „Hope away from Home. Eine Welt, in der Flüchtlinge immer dazugehören“ wird die Inklusion als wirksames Mittel bezeichnet, um Flüchtlingen zu helfen, ihr Leben neu zu beginnen und sie in die Lage zu versetzen, einen Beitrag zu ihren Gastländern zu leisten.
Wie können wir in unserem Kontext, in Brandenburg (Deutschland), von Inklusion sprechen, wenn wir mit einem komplexen und anstrengenden bürokratischen System konfrontiert sind, das den Asylbewerbern viele Hindernisse in den Weg legt? Wie können wir von Inklusion sprechen, wenn die Menschen nur Zugang zu Deutschkursen haben, einer Sprache, die an sich schon komplex ist? Wie können wir von Inklusion sprechen, wenn wir mit einer Gesellschaft konfrontiert sind, die mit einer paternalistischen Mentalität diejenigen betrachtet, die nicht so sehen wie sie? Wie können wir von Inklusion sprechen, wenn Flüchtlinge auf ihre Anfrage eine Antwort erhalten, die Duldung heißt, was wörtlich bedeutet, dass sie geduldet, aber nicht akzeptiert werden? Wie können wir von Inklusion sprechen, wenn Menschen ständig mit Abschiebung konfrontiert sind? Wie können wir von Inklusion sprechen, wenn Menschen mitten im Wald leben, wo es keine Zivilgesellschaft gibt?
Vor diesem Hintergrund lädt Refugees Emancipation zu einer audiovisuellen Ausstellung ein, die die realen Lebenssituationen von Flüchtlingen in den Landkreisen Brandenburgs darstellt.
Die Ausstellung ist vom 20. bis 24. Juni 2023 zu sehen.

World Refugee Day on the 20th of June is a day to honor the strength and courage of those who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution. For this year 2023, with the slogan „Hope away from Home. A world where refugees are always included“, inclusion is referred to as an effective way to help refugees restart their lives and enable them to contribute to their host countries.
In our context, Brandenburg (Germany), how can we talk about inclusion when we are faced with a complex and exhausting bureaucratic system that puts up a lot of barriers for asylum seekers? How can we talk about inclusion when people are limited to having access to German classes, a language that is already complex in itself? How can we talk about inclusion when we are faced with a society who view with a paternalistic mentality those who do not see like them? How can we talk about inclusion when refugees are given an answer to their request called Duldung, which literally means that they are tolerated, but not accepted? How can we talk about inclusion when people are dealing with deportation all the time? How can we talk about inclusion when people live in the middle of the forest where there is no civil society?
In view of the above, Refugees Emancipation invites you to the audiovisual exhibition that seeks to portray the real life situations experienced by refugees in the districts of Brandenburg.
